SPIRITUAL ANTIDOTES આધ્યાત્મ ની કેડીએ
We all have passed and are still passing through various difficulties in the journey of our lives. We all have experienced the brunt, aftermath and consequences of such problems and difficulties of life. When we pass through hard times, the first question that occurs in our minds is “why me?”
If we flip the pages of history we can find that we are not alone who have to go through recurring phases of ups and downs during our life. Sages, saints, and all hose highly evolved souls have gone through more difficult stanzas of their lives. Some very prominent and well known among them are Meerabai, Narsinh Mehta, Kabir, Rahim, Poet Akhoare just a few of them.
Since long, we have been compromising the basic values of life, and have been selectively interpreting them or sometimes even completely ignoring them rather than incorporating them honestly in our routine life.
Most of us, very sincerely are seeking the path of ‘Moksha’ or liberation from the ‘never ending chain’ of birth and death. We truly desire to rise above the hotchpotch and noises of daily life and to find inner peace. Yet we find ourselves unable to quiet down the noises continuously arising in our minds. We very much desire to follow the path of spirituality but our demands of materialistic gains, luxuries of life, greed, attachment, never-ending desires, jealousy and anger keep on pulling us back. The ever rising layers of impurities, ‘agnaan’ (अज्ञान), birth after birth have completely overshadowed the purity and transparency of our soul.
We therefore need consistent spiritual nutrition that can keep rinsing our disillusioned soul and keep feeding it with righteous, balanced, virtuous, meaningful and ethical nutrients. If we sincerely desire to purify our minds and thoughts, the Universe is offering countless sources around us. Words spoken by the sages, Scriptures, discourses offered by authentic gurus on Bhagvad Gita, Vedanta, Ramayan, Upanishads, Bible, Kuran-E-Sharif, Granth Sahib, or even some valuable messages read in Books on Yoga, Self-Development, collectively can build a pathway for our Spiritual evolution. Such messages can come in the form of listening, or reading a few lines or paragraphs written by or uttered by some sages or anyone that may have risen from one’s inner voice.
